All Is Still On Sale Now
All is Still - Debut EP
(Cost inclusive of postage)
Debut EP from Lewis Stockwell
Six individual and originally written or arranged songs to take you on a journey of ideas.
Five songs are self-penned, with one further traditional song being arranged by him.
I Go A-Walking
A social comment song about the beauty of reading and the closing of public libraries.
Portland Stone
As an Undergraduate, I researched my final thesis on memorialisation and commemoration in the town of Hitchin. I became fascinated with the politics of how memorials were built, how they are used and the role they play in the landscape of our lives.
Think of the Children
My day job concerns thinking about education and enabling people to think about how the world can be different through education. This song is about the destruction of Michael Gove's education policy on the minds of children and on the lives of teachers.
All Is Still
At Papworth Hospital, there is a pond. This pond has a menagerie of birds and fish in it and on it; further still it has a number of different people walking and sitting around it, contemplating the things that people often do in places of such pain and hope. This song is for all those who have to deal with the harsh realities of life.
Travesty
A social comment song that is not quite as subtle as the first, purposefully so. Within it lies that number of themes and issues that are often spoken about and yet ignored.
Spanish Ladies
A traditional folk song that has many homes. Quite possibly a shanty in the past, this song has been rearranged for one chap and his guitar, and depicts the story of English sailors, who were based in Spain in a time when both the Spanish and English hated the French, and they lament their separation from their Spanish loves.
To find out more about the album artist - Nicole Geast - have a look at her wonderful art and animations.
